ICVolunteers works with organizers to help plan, host, interpret and report on non-profit conferences. Specific tasks include welcoming and assisting delegates, translation and interpretation of events, writing and editing reports on conference proceedings, and providing multimedia support. To date, ICVolunteers has provided support and services close to 350 conferences and events in Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia. CyberVolunteers. The CyberVolunteers Program recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers with skills in information and communication technology (ICT) for development. Volunteers participate in local, regional and international projects for a period of several weeks or months, offering their skills in areas such as web or software development, system administration and content generation. Language services. ICVolunteers recruits and coordinates volunteer translators and interpreters. They are generally student interpreters or young professionals who wish to gain experience. ICVolunteers offers both simultaneous and consecutive volunteer interpretation. Communications and journalism. ICVolunteers provides writers and editors for conferences, publications, websites and online forums. Volunteer placement around the world. ICVolunteers places volunteers with organizations for a period of several weeks or months in communications and journalism, information and communications technology, or conference services. Citizen initiatives. We work with volunteers to develop social and educational programs in order to help populations and local communities to develop. Mentoring. In addition, we work with corporate entities to implement corporate volunteering and mentoring initiatives. In addition, ICVolunteers promotes volunteerism and its recognition, by enhancing civic commitment and involvement, and by providing leadership and links between organizations, individuals and communities.
